My travels this week were covered with pretty blue skies....
...roads thru tunnels of slowly-changing-to-fall-hues...
...right to the newest boutique to host my jewelry, hooray!
That's Trish, the boutique owner, makin' like a mannequin...and me, center...and mia little sistah, who came from her studies in the south to hang and slurp down frozen coffees so fast we all got brain freeze. (:
After this busy weekend, Trish's shop info will be in the sidebar of this blog, so watch for it! This soul sister's place is adorable and put together with unique little touches. Love it!
Not to mention I think she is just the sweetest peach of a lady (and to boot, she's practically family) and being around her all day - with our visit expanding into an all night stay at her unbelievably gorgeous tourist home - brightened me up. Don't you just love being around people who are uber positive and don't mind spreading it around to others? It is so contagious!
The following morning after our stay, Josh took me out for a stick-to-ur-ribs breakfast (I am a coffee and maybe toast in the a.m. girl, p.s.) and just before we went, we saw this beauty.
A fully restored, 1966 VW "micro bus." Price: $26,788. Oh, how one can dream (:
:: black and Bali silver bracelet, $28 ::
And on my drive back to the casa yesterday, I stopped and did a little more realistic shopping at my favorite antique mega mall, Exit 76. Found tons of new baubles that are calling my name as I type this, but here are a few things I made up just before dinner last evening.
:: Bali silver and Czech glass danglies, $24 ::
:: Mixed gemstone bracelet, $26 ::
In the interim of bagel and breakfast making, bedroom cleaning and preparations for our backyard camp out (we sincerely hope that the local Burn Ban is lifted, as our chitlens here are set upon mowing down some s'mores) this momma has been doing a bit o' Christmas shopping online...don't you love good deals that you randomly find in the universe of the world wide web? Thus far, I have four things checked off the ole' lists...and all purchased secretly as kiddos came in and out of my office for random ramblings. ie: stormy, can you fasten the back of my dog costume? momma, can you make the dvd work? stormy, do you know where my purple leggings are?
Happy Saturday to you and yours!
