Some days, I bury myself in my work by loading up the ole laptop and camera, my calendar, cords and all and I retreat somewhere away from home...somewhere I can concentrate and where there's no excuse to stop doing this and do something else. i.e.: laundry, visitors to the casa, unloading dishwasher, dinner planning, gardening.
It is usually during this *selfish* worktime that I come across pictures I forgot I took...like these cutie snaps of time from the evening we spent a few weeks ago with The Arrival of Aunt Jessie.
On a Friday, the event of returning said sister was celebrated in due style with this momma's homemade meatballs, spaghetti, garlic bread, brownies and ice cream...I feel full just typing all that (: And then, on to the backyard races - where Mammie tried desperately to capture in digi form every passing between the boys (there are always so many to document, and they all range in between side arm slapping to prevent the passerby an easy win to flat out shoving from behind...it's so nice to feel the love between them (:
Being a good auntie, Jess steered the post-supper racing to new levels: crab walking.
And after, we were able to get a few good shots of the good love betwixt the fam:
:: flanked with his fav (and only) daughters ::
:: aaaawww. he is so cute - my Joshy (:
:: post softball game - do you see that face on JC? so silly! ::
Nights at our place since have become much more mellow...like we are all ready to welcome the sweet sigh of fall.
And this momma *sighs* too - even though I know the inevitable approach of winter months - feels ready for the slowing down of life...although really, fall means the approach of a bajillion festivals, shows and parties! So, concentrations shift for me from vintage gathering to creating, to posting online for you dears (this week - all new fall pretties!!) to packing and unpacking my wares on various locations.
Life, is indeed, good (:
