The fam arrived at holiday getaway point A (really point G if you count the many "facilities" we had to visit along the way) giddy with anticipation.
We told the kiddos the whole trip was a surprise, but the real deal was meeting our Moe!
Rescued from a loving family with life changes, he is a big (Moe..short for Monster) loving (he is piled up with us on an air mattress) new fixture for us!
Hooray for successful surprises!!!
:: I would like to add that this very eensy beensy post took me pretty well ALL of the driving time (God bless Joshy...that sweet man...for manning the wheel!!) to learn the art o bloggin' from my Palm Pre (:
And oh yes - we did embark on a fab little trip this a.m.
With three little ones sparked up with anticipation about a weekend surprise, and a big van packed to the gills with all things snacks, coloring, and transforming.
Keep reading: Lets see if this fresh with techie knowledge momma can really do all this moblogging jazz (:

Where oh where have the days been floating off to?
a) loooong coffee breaks in the a.m. on my front porch (the view, my dears, is a blessing to this momma's soul)
b) the arranging and rearranging of all things packratty in our new casa
c) bed ridden hours with a throbbing ovary (c'mon doctors! why oh why does it always hurt?!)
d) relearning gluten free living (makes this crazy disease of my female parts grow and grow)
e) chatty chats with my sweet customers who have been kind enough to come pick up their new pretties at my house (see point C)
f) digging up perennials at Carthage house and transporting to new house, where I, in all my indecisiveness, struggle with where to place them
g) restructuring the making of all things jewels and this little biz that keeps right on growing
h) brides, brides, brides! need I say more?
Of course, there's the usual: kiddos, my sweet man, bestie fun, festivals and jewelry home parties.
Oh yes, and did I mention gluten free living?
I bless my brother Kyle for gifting me a Wheat and Gluten Free Cookbook for the holidays this year. Makes me feel like I can eat more than bananas and green tea. (:
And this day, I begged a girlie friend to come sit with me a spell in a land of local Wi-Fi where the Internet is lightening speed fast, so every piece made in the past three weeks that have sat on my camera memory card are now online! here, and here
I hope you adore them!

I hope this bloggity blog post finds you well, and happy with the changing weather and season. I am so looking forward to planting a garden, but it must first stop raining (daily ugh!) Until, I'm going to concentrate on getting our kiddos sunflower seeds in the ground, and finishing up some bridal pretties.
Happy happy day!

~ and more time to make new pretties like these!
Happy Monday to you (: If you are a momma, I hope your Sunday was memorable!
I am over my head here with orders and such...too much to type, and not enough time in the day to accomplish all that needs my attention. But alas! Laundry and such can wait while jewels get my attention this week...tis the season of show preparations and the like. I feel blessed and busy (:
p.s. Come see me at this marvie event. I am so so happy I was accepted to this show; in addition to loving all the things this show is about, I am looking forward to the big crowd of new nice ladies to bedeck in Starr Strung!
Posting tomorrow: A brand new look for Starr Strung, in honor of the budding biz. Can't wait to share!
"The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in."
During our move, I kindly treated my ex-cellie with a little run-it-over-with-my-vehicle treatment. I was saved by an eligible upgrade the very next day, which was grande since the newly issued technology piece offers a whole new world of ease-in-running-your-business-on-the-run. IE: Emails pop up as they come in, canceling out 3 hour sessions holed up in my office having what I actually grew to despise as "computer days."
Promptly after getting the new cellie in hand, I visited a local shopping mart, and after setting it down to dig thru a pile of shower rugs for possible purchase, had it stolen.
Who, I ask you, steals a cellie?
And then proceeds to call the people you called that very day.
Veeeeerrrryyyy creepy indeed.
So - because my new phone also provides Internet access at my home, I spent a few 10 days catching up on baking, homemaking
and planning my boy's big sixth birthday.
Where oh where has this time gone?
I know - it's gone to raising a sweet wee one who I would be incomplete without. He, my dearies, is a peach (:
And now that the house-settling is coming along quite nicely, I have been able to turn my attentions also to....what else?
It is official whirlwind o' activity time for me and for Starr Strung...summer shows being booked, new ideas with upcycled pieces from family heirlooms, wedding party pretties....yeah rah for having so much to do! I feel blessed, and I feel I have assumed a new perspective on this little biz of mine. April 15th marked one year out as a full time focus for me, and I suppose in the past few weeks, as my focus has been on settling my family and making a house a home, my business has grown exponentially!
How marvie is that?
So, thank you dearies. Thank you for your custom orders, for sprouting beautiful ideas of your own after looking thru pieces from your past and entrusting me to design your pretties, and for sending love and good vibrations my way. I feel them, I really do (: And they make me exponentially happy.
Being able to do something that I love - and I should say, a second or third love, since being momma and a hard-earned college degree are in the mix - is a blessing that sometimes I feel wrapped up in like a cocoon. Whoever knew that making jewelry and other pretties could be so self-fulfilling? And to share it with you? Majestic!
My devotion time - albeit a bit spur of the moment since the great exodus and resettling - has brought me the constant message of the importance of thankfulness: For what I already have, for what is to come, and for what I also do not have. Because, you see, having periods of going without or learning to be satisfied with "now," is perfectly provided by my Maker. I am learning in this period of my life to love unconditionally. To accept that not all people in my life are going to be willing to compromise. To understand that no matter what, I have my family, my sweet besties, my hope, and my commitment to make my one and wild ride of a life as happy, fulfilling and gracious as possible. It is important to me at this time to pray for changes in some areas of our lives, and to continue to hang on with unfailing trust that God is great. And He can absolutely change anything, anybody, any situation.
That promise is enough to keep me satisfied for quite a long, long time. Not to mention...it takes a great load of stress from my shoulders to "make all things right with all people" and instead, to focus on what I can do. And now, the message has been clear: Trust. Release. Be Patient.
Isn't that just the best solution to life problems ever?
Now, time for kiddo pick up, an evening of friends and dinner and later, catching up on mucho mas jewelry orders (: I am wishing you a sweet eve as well.
