:: me and little momma here have a new view ::
Two weeks ago, Joshy and I began a great exodus with our wee ones.
Them, us, and all of the belongings we have assumed in the past years.
Packed up and moved it on out, just like that.
So dearies, Starr Strung pretties - along with their maker - have a new pad.
A pretty new casa (:
And so far, even after the days upon days of packing and unpacking, this place feels like home to all of us.
:: view from my office ::
Well, maybe not the kitties, since they have come up missing here and there, mainly from their country kanoodalings with other farm cats. (At this hour, Frieda is the one who has mysteriously vanished.)
And of course we do still have the (annoying, annoying my friends) last load of ahem. CRAP that I don't really know why we even have, but overall, we are here and happy.
Of course, moving means moving all of your things, like Internet access and such, and those things always fall the end of the to-do list, thus the long pause here in blog land. It didn't help too much that I ran over my cellie last weekend and had to retain a new filled-to-the-brim-gadget of technology, then relearn basic cellie phone usage all over and finally, beg the Verizon Wireless lad to step by step instruct me on how to hook to my new Internet network.
All that, while finding odds and ends of our lives in various boxes in multiple rooms.
But it is a Whole New Perspective. And I always like those. (:
As I sit here and type away, I can see big open fields ready for planting, and Joshua's uncles working right away. This place - with its family ties - feels comfortable and nice to be a part of, and both of us continue to count our blessings to live in a land that means so much to my sweet man.
Our kiddos have their own rooms.
And plenty of space (inside and out) to romp their little crazy selves around.
Josh and I have privacy...and offices of our own.
And I have been blessed to have such good good bestie friends come nearly every day and evening in the last weeks to help me in anyway I needed it - and that...well, it makes a girl feel blessed and well looked after (:
Of course, the concentrations of relocating have had their downside to pretty making..but today begins the true start of spring, summer and fall party planning, art shows, and the like. I have had so many emails (that I can manage on my new phone - hooray for this!) about where Starr Strung will be set up at this upcoming season, and that will soon be posted on my website. I hope you can make it to an outdoor show - the ones on my calendar this year are fun and host some incredible artisans with like minded talents.
And new pretties are at my fingertips this week: lots of catching up to do, but I have had a bit o' time here to do some designing. I hope you like - and keep watching for new big blasts of retro flower fun and tons of amazing new gemstone work.
Makes this momma feel inspired in a whole new way (:
:: repurposed for the season Sunflower Earrings, $12 ::
Back to the drawing board for now - happy day to you (:
