I'm not a girl who's too awful big on New Year's resolutions. But, there is a time for all things, and this year, I definitely have a few. Bonded with a gal pal and the stubborness I was blessed with, I have resolved to ..... drum roll please. (And make it big, because this is H A R D!)
...no buying clothes for myself. No mas jeans, (ugh ugh ugh) no nothing. Only the essentials. Socks, etc. From where I sit typing away now, I can see the steamer trunk in my room...and well, it's um...well...it'sstuffedwithjeansandwon'tshut. I broke the hinge. So, maybe it will be fun to dig through it for the next 12 months and find things I didn't know I had? hmmmm. We'll see.
...wash my face every single night, no matter how tired, sick, etc. etc. I am turning a new decade this year (which my son announced 15 minutes into Christmas dinner, 'hey momma, aren't you turning 30 this year? you are soooooo old.') awesome.
...pump up yoga dates. 5 times a week. no excuses. I love it, it makes me healthier and happier and so much more in flow with the world around me. So, it is a must. Like, eating. Or, sleeping. Yoga. Part of my essentials in this one wild life.
I would love to see a myriad of other things happen: mainly growth in my personal relationship to Jesus, and as a result of that strengthening, stronger bonds in all other relationships with loved ones. mmmm. I love that idea.
Happy fresh start to you and yours too. I'm a little nervous, but I can imagine the discipline will create new strengths in my life. And that is something to look forward to for sure.
