A good compromise, a good piece of legislation, is like a good sentence; or a good piece of music. Everybody can recognize it. They say, 'Huh. It works. It makes sense.' ~ Barack Obama
I watched Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton spar at the Presidential debates last night in Ohio...and I suppose now I have a clear opinion of each, although I don't think it necessary to elaborate. I'll suffice it to say that each come to the table with ideals and ideas that I agree with, some more than others.
I will admit that I'm a feminist at heart. I think this country could - and should, at some point - be run by a woman. I'd love to see it happen in my lifetime. I support the notion that women are the ultimate multi-taskers (you know who you are!) and we keep the world going 'round. Not that men aren't great creatures...but...well, women are women. We have some great attributes, face it.
Do I think that Hillary can run our country? Yes. Do I think she will? Not now.
Barack represents what every red-blooded, tax-paying American needs and wants right now. He speaks a message of hope, of truth - and ultimately, of change. Thank God he does, because someone sure the heck needs to; he is fast forming into the next leader of the Free World. He emulates what President Lyndon Johnson said the Great Society should be: a place where we enrich and enlarge possibilities for ALL people, no matter class or societal stature. To quote: "A place where men are more concerned with the quality of their goals than the quantity of their goods."
There you have it.
I love Barack.
